Who Is Jesus?

The validity of Christianity is based upon the identity of Jesus.  If He is nothing more than a man, then Christianity crumbles like a house of cards.  The apostles were in a position to know Him.  What did they say of Him?

1.       Jesus is Greater Than the Temple (Matt. 12:6).

2.       Jesus is Greater Than the Prophets Jonah or Moses (Matt. 12:41; Heb. 3:5).

3.       Jesus is Greater Than Solomon (Matt. 12:42).

4.       Jesus is Greater Than the Patriarchs Jacob or Abraham (John 4:12; 8:53).

5.       Jesus is the Creator (John 1:1-3).

6.       Jesus is the Final Judge of All Humanity (John 5:22-29).

7.       Jesus is the Resurrection and Life (John 11:25).

All other religious systems are based upon a specific set of rules given by their respective founders.  These founders made claims for themselves and then they died. 

Christianity however, is based upon a covenant relationship with God through Jesus.  The apostles claimed that the resurrection of Jesus from the dead was God’s way of declaring Jesus as the Son of God (Rom. 1:4).  He rose so that He could be the Lord of both the Living and the Dead (Rom. 14:9).

The merit of this claim has eternal repercussions.  “What think ye of Christ” (Matt. 22:42)?
