Report from Couples’ Retreat

Thanks to Dwayne & Leslie Daniel for all their hours spent in organizing the Gatlinburg Couples Retreat.

Dr. Willard Harley’s DVD entitled “His Needs, Her Needs:  How To Affair Proof Your Marriage” was shown.  After watching one of the videos, we had a great deal of discussion.  Several men also presented devotionals:  Carl Meadows, Robert Qualls, and Dean McKaskle.

Thanks are in order to a number of people:  To Pierre “Grill-Meister” Griffin for standing over a hot grill and cooking our food on Friday afternoon; to Farris Tidwell for organizing the Saturday morning breakfast where the men cooked and cleaned up; to Julie McKaskle for making arrangements for the Saturday evening supper at Mom’s Kitchen in Pigeon Forge; to Garry Sensing for leading singing; &, to many others who rolled up their sleeves and did what needed to be done.

The DVD is available in the secretary’s office.  Check with Adelaide Butler or Tina Resha if you are interested in watching it.  Dr. Harley also has a list of activities couples can do together.  He recommends that husband & wife rate each activity so they can find several activities that are enjoyable to both.  A list of activities can be downloaded at: http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forms/rei.pdf.  Pick up your copy of the list in the lobby.
