Our Elders

Elders are the spiritual leaders of the local church body. We currently have five godly men serving as our elders.  If you have any questions about the church, these are the men to ask.

Buddy is married to Brenda and they have 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Buddy is a retired Maintenance Supervisor with Nashville Gas Company.

Terry and is wife Kathleen have two children, Kyle and Kaley. Terry teaches schools at the New Directions Academy in Charlotte, TN. Terry and Kathleen have 2 grandchildren.

Jay Wilkins (615- 829-1175 or  jewilkins@aol.com)
Jay and his wife Marilyn have 3 grown children (Julie, Tommy and Eric) and 6  grandchildren. Jay is a graduate of Purdue University and is a retired engineer, and former chairman of Ohio Bible Camp. He and Marilyn have made 2 mission trips to Nicaragua.

Larry is a retired engineer with BellSouth. He is an avid sportsman. He loves hunting and fishing and the UT Vols. Larry and his wife, Janet have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Doug is a graduate from Freed-Hardeman University, Amridge University, and East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions. He and his wife Debbie have 3 grown daughters, Tamara, Tara & Tiffany, two sons-in-Law, Larry and Alan, and 4 grandsons Carson, Carter, Ethan and Enoch and 2 granddaughters, Sydney and Evelyn. His hobbies are running, hiking, and reading. He has made several mission trips to Russia, Jamaica, and Nicaragua.

Shamron Jackson (615-714-2660 or shamron76@gmail.com)     Shamron works at TN Tool in Charlotte.  He graduated from Nashville Tech with a mechanical engineering degree.  Shamron has been in charge of the Vacation Bible Program and Bible Hour for many years.  Shamron is married to Joanna, and they have 3 daughters, Mary, Ashlee and Claire.  Shamron has been on numerous mission trips to Nicaragua and Panama.  He and his family are also very involved in Bible Camp every summer.

Brent Welch (615-804-4527 or bwelch@borderstates.com)      Brent and his wife Kelly, have three children.  William who is married to Alana and is a youth minister in Jackson, TN.  Meredith, who is a student at FHU and Nora who is a senior in high school.  Brent works with the Bible Hour program.  He and his family are very involved in Amazingrace Bible Camp.
